You know the situation well: an unexpected guest sends you a message telling you they’ll drop by your home in half-an-hour or so, you look around and realize that your home is perfect set for the next episode of “Hoarders.”Now’s a great time for Cleaning Your Apartment!

This means it’s time to clean your house to the best of your abilities, ASAP. Of course, the problem is, you don’t have nearly enough time to clean everything from top to bottom. This is why so many people use Cleaning Services in London, but now it’s too late to think about that.

Now, you have to be practical and strategic.

But wait – before you start cleaning your apartment – take an ordinary trash bag and tuck it into your pants. Don’t ask questions – just do it – and don’t worry, all of this will make sense later. Lastly, here are a couple of things you’ll need to clean your home in 30 minutes:

  • One bottle of glass cleaner
  • One dish soap
  • A few sponges (just in case)
  • A pack of paper towels
  • A functional vacuum cleaner
  • All-purpose cleaning spray

Once you gather the supplies, you’re ready to start cleaning your apartment:

Begin With the Bathroom

Start with the bathroom – take everything off the sink, tub and toilet tank. Then, take the multi-purpose spray, and… well… spray everything. Wipe the mirror and shine any chrome fixtures. And don’t forget to straighten the hand towels and empty the wastepaper basket into that trash bag you’re carrying around.

Go to the Bedroom Next

Once you’re done with the bathroom, go to your bedroom and make your bed. Even if you don’t do anything else, making the bed will make the room look much tidier. But if you have any clothes on the floor, make an effort to pick them up and carry them to the hamper. If you have any glasses, grab them and carry them to the kitchen. After that’s finished, you should head to your living room.

Continue to the Living Room

Cleaning the living room isn’t too different than cleaning the bedroom, you just need to apply the same principles to different furniture, that’s all. Straighten your cushions and tidy any blankets you have laying around the couch. Lastly, you should clean up the coffee table with the cleaning spray, wipe it and throw any mail or old magazines.

Finish Things Off in the Kitchen

If you have time to do only one thing – you should go with the dishes. Nothing screams dirty home more than a sink filled with dirty dishes. Fill your sink with hot water, put some soap in it and leave the dishes to soak up for three to five minutes. While this is happening, clean your counters and toss the trash.

Take the dishes out the sink, clean them with a sponge, then leave them to dry out. And just like that, you’re all done cleaning your apartment.

Got Extra Few Minutes?

Your guest is late? Perfect! Seeing how the vacuum is already out, you should use those additional few minutes to run to the living room and do some vacuuming. Trust us – this will give your home the finishing touch it needs.

And if your guest still hasn’t arrived, go to the kitchen, pour a glass of water and take a breath. Calm down, change your clothes if you need to and wait for your guest calmly.
