American Girl Dolls have been a staple in the household for a few years now. Miss G had a few well before Peanut was thought of. When she was born, Peanut and Miss G got a set of the Bitty Twins – that way they could each have one. Then last Christmas Peanut got an American Girl Bitty Baby. She loves her “baby”. While we were in Florida we had the opportunity to visit the American Girl Bistro Orlando and have lunch at their Bistro.
The Bistro itself was cozy. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We were asked if Peanut had brought her doll, but since Peanut left her “baby” home we got to have lunch with one of their Friends! Peanut saw who she wanted to have lunch with, and held her close. The hostess grabbed a highchair for the American Girl Doll, and she placed it right next to Peanut’s seat at the table. While they brought our drinks, they brought Peanut’s American Girl Friend a Cup and Saucer (which we were able to take home afterwards)
Our Meal
American Girl Bistro Starters
We started off with Pretzel Bites for an appetizer. These were served with Honey Mustard Dip and also Cheese. There were 8 different starters that we were able to choose from. Some of the appetizers were Onion Rings, Fancy Fruit Fondue, Mozzarella Sticks and more.
American Girl Bistro Entrees
For Entrees, we each chose something different. Both the hubby and I had burgers. We let the kids choose what they wanted. Lil C wanted the butterfly pasta with meatballs. Peanut chose to eat the “Chicken Cookies” with Mac and Cheese. I love that both the kids meals came with a side of fruit.
American Girl Bistro Orlando Desserts
I will say, my favorite part of the meal was the desserts. But who doesn’t love a little sweet treat? After your meal, they bring out a sweet treat menu for you to look at. I chose the ice cream sundae – with Chocolate sauce. The boys chose the brownie and ice cream treat. And peanut chose the cupcakes.
With the cupcakes, you can decorate your own. There are 2 cupcakes for you to decorate; one for you and one for your American Girl friend. Peanut loves to decorate cakes when we make them, so I knew she would have a blast.
While we at the American Girl Bistro, we witnessed a couple birthdays. Peanut told me that the cupcake that she decorated for her and her doll were her “Birthday cake”.

That’s so cute! I had no idea it was a family restaurant. Now I want to go! (You had me at pretzel bites with cheese…) Peanut looks like she had such a great time!

She had a blast! I think we walked around the store for a couple hours even after eating. She had to see everything. She’s already making out her Christmas wishlist – and can you guess what we have on it?

I have been a fan of the American Girl line since the very beginning! The boutiques should pop up in every state. That way, you can include that state’s culture, fashion, and history. My personal favorite doll and character in the line is Molly. I hope they bring her back soon!

This looks like such a fun place to eat.

Gee, it’s been years since I’ve been to the one by us (Chicago). My youngest daughter loved these dolls when she was little. We even know a couple of girls who used to “work” there – dressing as the dolls. It was really magical!

American Girl Dolls is very sweet and I like her dress with the fancy ribbon and fur trim. Her hair is very pretty as well.
