One thing that I am going to try to make a tradition in my house is having a movie night. Just a time to sit and watch a WHOLE movie – with no distractions … No Phone calls, No Computer, no blogging… Just a bowl of popcorn and a Movie. This week we got to watch Parental Guidance (courtesy of Fox Home Entertainment). Parental Guidance was released on March 26, 2013.
Synopsis: Old-school grandparents Artie (Crystal) and Diane (Midler) get more than they bargained for when they get stuck babysitting their type-A daughter’s (Tomei) overprotected kids. But things go from hectic to hysterical when Artie realizes the kids are running the house with their newfangled technology. By playing by his own rules, which include sugary snacks, old fashioned games and tough love, Artie manages to outsmart the kids and achieve the impossible- bring the family closer together.
Being a parent myself, I know how hard it is to find someone the watch the kids. And somehow – no matter how hard you try not to… Parents tend to favor one set of grandparents just a slight bit more. Just like in the movie. Artie and Diane are Bound and Determined to not be the “OTHER GRANDPARENTS” when they are given the opportunity to Babysit their grand kids. Boy did they get off to a rough start, but in the end they won over the hearts of not only their grand kids, but of their daughter and her husband.

I love to see people promoting “movie nights.” Family time is so rare today. Everyone loves movies — even games, making both great opportunities to connect as a family. Thank you! I learned about about your blog from Alicia @ Free N Clear.
