This year we waited until The night before to carve Pumpkins… Usually we do it the weekend before, but it has been a crazy weekend, and he was at his daddys house.  So this year, I figured that as a surprise to Lil C, Daddy stayed after they went on their weekly dinner date – and he helped lil C carve his pumpkin.

 EWWWW!

Lil C did Not want to touch the “guts” but braved it with the help of a scooper

Lil C and his Daddy Carving Pumpkins

Lil C wanted a Scarry Pumpkin… And he got it!  I think they did great!!!

Wow! You guys did a great job! We didn’t do pumpkins this year but it looks like so much fun! We’ll do them next year (the kids will be older and probably enjoy it more!)

Looks great! We don’t cut them here because they fall apart too quickly! It’s too hot for them to stay up and nice, they kind of melt… So, we paint them, and then later, cut them, pull out the seeds and roast them. Then I bake the pumpking to use for pies!

I don’t blame him for not wanting to mess with the guts! That’s definitely my least favorite part of pumpkin carving :).

LOVE it! That is the PERFECT scary pumpkin! 🙂 I love that his dad stayed and carved with him. Awesome that you guys still do things like this together… Coming from a broken home myself, I can tell you that means a lot when you’re a kid (and stays with you as an adult). You’re such a good mom!
