If you didn’t read on my Facebook page, Last Friday (March 23) I got to go to a wonderful concert. I got to see Celtic Woman at the Fox Theater in Detroit Michigan. And even better, My family won a set of tickets. So not only was I able to go with my Dad, But my Mom and my Grandma were also able to attend. The seats were NO WHERE near each other, but It was a joyous time! My tickets (which I gave to my mom and dad so they could sit together were down about 12 rows from the front) and the tickets that were won were up in the Balcony (which I choose to sit with my grandma in) My dad is a HUGE fan of Celtic Woman! And that day, I became one too!
Because my parents had such great seats, they offered to help me write a little about the concert! I just have one word… “AMAZING”
This is what they had to say:
“The Celtic Women are on stage.. Its Show time… The stage lights up. The spot lights are spinning. The theater is coming to life. … Chloë Agnew and Lisa Lambe Mairead Nesbitt and newest member Susan McFadden. and of course the celtic piper Anthony Bryne ..
A few of the songs were Tribute to Broadway, A Space man came traveling, The Ave Maria, You will never walk alone. Then you had Mairead She played one of her solos, The Foxhunter. That girl can not only play the violin but can skip twirl and hop across the stage without missing a note. Shes Good…
I must admit I first seen them on Public TV (pbs) a year ago and now i know why people fall in love with their music. Its very easy to listen to.. We had 2 hours or relaxation It was pure Pleasure . It was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. I know when there back in town I will see them again.” (MI Savings Mama’s Dad)
and
“Just stunning. The music started and then the soft and beautiful voices can over the sound system. These four women, Chloë Agnew, Lisa Lambe, Mairead Nesbitt and newest member Susan McFadden, with their sweet voices, took me from this beautiful theatre to the breezy meadows of Ireland, with songs like “Danny Boy” and ” Téir Abhaile Riú “. They had my full and undivided attention the entire time, from the group songs ,like “A Women’s Heart” to the solos, such as “Nocturne” to the violinist “dancing” around, not missing a single note. Sheer perfection. Not only were the Celtic Women fantastic, so too were the musicians, choir, and the technical crew. This is one concert I am so glad to have seen. I can say I have seen them before on PBS, but seeing them in person is a better way to appreciate these beautiful and talented women.” (MI Savings Mama’s Mom)
Make sure you take a moment to check out Celtic Woman online. If they are coming to a city near you I defiantly recommend that you try to get tickets to go.
