Just recently I purchased my first house…and what better way to celebrate than have a bunch of the family over to open some wine and have a little taste testing! My family loves a good win – and especially a good wine at a great price. Flip Flop wine has some of the best prices that I have found – for wines that I have come to like. Up until recently, I was never very adventurous with tasting different wines…. Until I started working with the great people at Flip Flop.
August and September are great times…. First of all, My birthday is the last day of August… and September… just a few days after my birthday is a holiday… and its a reason for the family to get together. This year It was my chance to bring the wine … The only problem…is I had to work.. So I left it upon my mom to take a couple bottles of FLIP FLOP wine to the party for everyone to try.
These are a couple of the flavors that everyone got to try.
Moscato: Tastes like: Light-bodied Moscato with floral aromas, semi-sweet palate, and a soft, lingering finish. It is full of Crisp, bright aromas balance sweet notes. It is best paired with Pad Thai, Chinese chicken salad or vegetable curry. This wine should be served Chilled.
Chardonnay: Tastes like: Medium-bodied, Chardonnay with pineapple, soft vanilla and a long lingering finish. It is full of Creamy, toasted oak notes. This is best paired withWood-fired Neapolitan pizza, mac & cheese or chicken Caesar sala. Serve Chilled.
Out of all the wines I have tasted… Moscato was my least favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I do love sweet (I especially love the Riesling) , but there was something about the Moscato that wasnt my favorite. I do, however, see how they suggest to pair it up with Pad Thai or Chinese… It does compliment the spiciness of Chinese and Thai food GREAT. At the party EVERYONE loved the Chardonney. I mean everyone… (Thankfully they saved me 1 small glass so I could taste it myself). I was So excited when FlipFlop suggests to pair it with Mac & Cheese… WAHOO one of my favorites! You can find FlipFlop wine products at local Kroger Grocery Stores (if you have a Kroger Stores that sells wine) .
* I received a bottle of the wines listed above in exchange for the review. All opinions expressed are my own.
