It seems like it is becoming harder and harder to teach younger children values and the right way. Cartoons on TV arent helping with this much. Then one of my friends introduced me to Veggie Tales.
Veggie Tales is a great cartoon style show that features assorted Veggies telling great stories – Like “Bob Lends a Helping Hand” and “Larry Learns to Listen” They even have a holiday special “Little Drummer Boy”Bob Lends a Helping Hand: When Joe’s mom breaks her big left toe, Bob the Tomato decides to help. Larry and Joe offer their ‘superhero’ help, too, but that’s not exactly what Bob has in mind. Kids will discover right along with Larry and Joe that everyone can be a superhero if you lend a helping hand! Also includes two classic shows, “Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry’s Big River Rescue” and “Lyle the Kindly Viking.”
Larry Learns to Listen: When Larry’s new Space Squadron game finally arrives, he’s so anxious to play that he forgets to read the directions. When his friends do their best to tell him, Larry refuses to listen! What happens? His game goes ‘KERPOW!’ That’s when Larry learns a valuable lesson in listening as his friends come to the rescue. Kids will discover, right along with Larry, that God gave friends and family to help us through each day—so when we listen we don’t miss what others have to say! Also includes two classic shows: “Pistachio” and “Josh and the Big Wall.”
I have fallen in love with the Veggie Tale line. They are just the perfect length for a child to sit though. I Have had the opportunity to experience 3 children – ages ranging from 1 1/2 yrs to 4 yrs sit and contently watch these programs…One of them being my own child. They all wanted to put on another Veggie Tale DVD when it was done! Not only are these the perfect length for children – but they are very cute stories – with great themes.
**I received the DVDs mentioned above for review purposes only. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
