Everyone knows about PROBIOTICS, but not many may know about a PREBIOTIC. I know I didn’t, until I was asked to try PreBiotin’s Prebiotic Fiber. I was sent the Prebiotic Fiber canister and also some of the Prebiotic Fiber StickPac to try out.
Some of the differences between Probiotics and Prebiotics are:
- Probiotics are live bacteria typically found in in yogurt, other dairy products, and pill form where as prebiotics are specialized plant fibers.
- Probiotics are delicate- they can potentially be destroyed in the body by heat and stomach acid. Prebiotics are not affected by heat or bacteria – so they are much hardier.
- And lastly, Probiotics are known to introduce good bacteria into the “gut” and prebiotics act like a fertilizer for the good bacteria already found in the body.
The Prebiotin Prebiotic Fiber “supports calcium absorption, enhances immunity, manages weight reduction, provides cardiovascular and heart support and corrects gut dysbiosis and leaky gut” (Prebiotin). One full scoop of the fiber is the same dose as in the Stick Pac Extra Strength. This container is a 60 day supply.
The StickPac has a single 2 gram daily dose of Prebiotin. It is ideal for those just starting Prebiotin as it starts with a lower dose that should then be gradually increased to full effectiveness. It supports calcium absorption, enhanced immunity, weight management, provides cardiovascular and heart support and corrects dysbiosis of the bowel and a leaky gut. (Prebiotin)
You can mix the Prebiotic Fiber in any fluid, or just add to one of your meals. According to the website, it has a slight natural sweet taste, but it almost reminded me of a cotton candy taste. Which if you are on the run, you can add it to a glass of water and go. I will be trying this out daily – and will check in at the end of the month and let you know how I feel.
Now you can enter to win your own Prebiotin Supplement. One reader will win 1 Prebiotin Weight Loss container and 1 box of the Stick Pacs

I have never heard of this product, but it sounds like a great way to get the extra nutrient support at any age. Thanks for sharing information.

I didn’t know there was a difference between probiotics and prebiotics at all! I’m all for any type of supplement that helps support weight management.
