We live pretty close to the Lakes in Michigan. So one of the hobbies a few of us have is Fishing – especially during the summer. So what do you get the person who likes to fish? You get them some Rapala Fishing Gear! Rapala has everything from Lures, to Knifes and fishing equipment, to apparel. They sent us 5 of their favorite lures for this fishing season.
Rapala Terminator Popping Frog (Color: Bluegill)
The Popping Frog is for Topwater fanatics. It features a cupped face that will create a loud, strong pop. Popping Frog has an extra soft body, lifelike round rubber legs and was designed to create a responsive, easy to impart, walking action. The custom designed weight is shaped and positioned to keep out of the way of the hook.
Rapala Storm Arashi® Spinbait (Color: Pro Blue)
The Arashi Spinbait is a slow sinking lure. It attracts fish on the fall and during the retrieval because of its rolling action and moving blades. This lure has “counter rotating propellers” which are to add a subtle flash and vibration, and allows the lure to move in a straight path.
Rapala Sufix Skitter V (Color: Chrome)
The Skitter V is also a Topwater bait. It features a V-Rap body design and a tail weighted balance which allows the lure to cut through the water with a quick snap of the rod.
Rapala Shaddow Rap Shad (Color: Olive Drab)
The Shaddow Rap Shad is something that big fish can’t resist. It swims with the infamous horizontal struggle with a vertical rise on pause. This lure was made to mimic a shad who was in trouble.
Rapala Shaddow Rap (Color: Tropic Ice)
The Shadow Rap replicates the natural minnow action. This Jerkbait triggers fish in 3 ways: on the kick, on a slow fading fall and on the snap back to life. This has been designed to be able to be fished pretty much in place, with very little forward travel – keeping it right in a fish’s strike zone!
I know that we’re going to get a lot of use out of these over the spring/summer. What is your favorite fish to catch? Do you have a preferred Lure?
