The summer has been SUPER crazy for us. Usually we have time to have our friends and family over for Fun gatherings, but not this summer. So instead We are trying to make up by having people over before the craziness of the holidays begin. Sounds like a great idea right? Yeah, until you realize that its getting cooler out, so Everyone will be inside. Not that I mind being inside much, but when we have an outdoor party I don’t feel bad about my dish washer being full of dirty dishes. So when I was asked to test out the Cascade Platinum Packs, I took advantage of leaving a dirty load of dishes in the Dish Washer while my guests were on their way. What better thing to have a party for than a birthday! Mr A. turned one recently So we all had Cake – and some of us even had ice cream. After everyone was done eating, we ran the dishwasher and let Mr. A open his gifts while all the grown ups socialized. What little did they know, they were going to get a little prize for themselves.
With Cascade it is super easy to do a load of dishes. Actually it is so easy, that when it is full, I tell Lil C to go put the “soap” in and run it! I wouldn’t be as comfortable letting him start the dishes for me if it was typical liquid or powder soap.
The dishes that we tested this the Cascade on were from the past couple nights. So food has sat on it for a bit without being pre-washed or rinsed.
Even the bowl with Ice Cream from the previous night was still in there. I will have to say that most everyone was surprised how well the dishes came out.
The wonderful people of Cascade did a little survey on Dish Habbits. I was Extremely surprised with some of the things that they found out.
Did You Know:
- 96% of those surveyed spents up to an hour pre-washing their dishes each week.
- Nearly 3/4 of those 96% were still experienceing daily dishwasher fails with dishes that come out looking dirty, spotted or streaked.
- Nearly half (46%) of the survey respondents believe that skipping the pre-wash means their dishes will come out gross. When in reality, they can break this habit and SKIP the PRE-Wash. Cascade Platinum will help them achieve the ultimate clean and sparkle

Those dishes look so sparkly and clean. I actually got a new dishwasher a week and a half ago. I have been without one for a few months because it kept breaking. So, lately I have been washing all of my dishes by hand… which I am so sick of. This would be so awesome to try in my new Kitchenaid dishwasher!
My routine is to put the dishes in the dishwasher, and usually I have to wash them at least twice! :/
Rinse, scrub and load. Over and over and over again.
pre-soak, load disherwasher, wash pots/pans
I’ve always hated dishes! I use to have the kids do them but I’ve only have one teenage son left at home now so I’m back as head dish washer. Rinse, wash and let air dry.
I rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Once the dishwasher is full, I run t.
This looks like it works great!
Prewash? Ha! I’m lucky if I get all the food chunks off! No rinsing here. Scrape, load, use quality detergent, and boom! Clean dishes!
