Just the other weekend Hubby and I were celebrating our 1 Year anniversary and baptism of our little girl.  We figured what better way than to have a few of our close family and friends help us celebrate!   Planning a party isn’t always easy.  The hardest thing is trying to figure out what to make.  We wanted something that was easy to serve and something that everyone would like.  So we had Hotdogs and Mac & Cheese plus the typical snacky foods. IMG_0009

I love making home made Macaroni and Cheese, but I always HATE the cleanup!  It never fails, we would have to basically wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher! So when we were asked to Put Cascade to the test, I JUMPED at the chance (Have I ever  mentioned how much I dislike washing dishes by hand?  I was spoiled having a dishwasher)

Mac_and_Cheese(See what I mean, they get Greasy and Gooey)

I got to try the Cascade Platinum Packs!  I have always used just the basic liquid dish washing detergent, So I had my skeptics about the power packs. And then also finding out that I didn’t to do a Pre-wash?  That just couldn’t be right.

Why do you need to skip the pre-wash?  “Cascade Platinum works best when food soil is left on the dishes because its special enzymes latch onto that food, breaking it down so it can wash away.  If there’s no food soil, there’s nothing for the enzymes to attach to and your detergent isnt working its hardest for you.CascadeI was VERY impressed with how clean the dishes came out.  I was very unsure about how the dishes were going to come out.  I mean, just looks at that gook on the dishes… And if you can see the Glass Pan…Do you see how it Sparkles?  That is because we used the Cascade Platinum Rinse Aid.  I have never used a rinse Aid before until this wash test. I Love not having to pre-wash any of my dishes before putting them in the Dishwasher.   It makes that house chore so much easier and quicker now (Hey, I think I can even have Lil C load the Dishwasher for me after dinner now)

omg I HATE, absolutely hate, washing dishes!! & I have a dishwasher! It’s not so much the loading part, it’s the putting it away part that I hate & then hubs bought cheap powder soap so some clean dishes have to be rinsed off again. I will definitely be trying out Cascade Platinum..thanks!

I do half dishwasher, half hand wash. I hand wash pots and glasses because my dishwasher never gets them clean. Seeing your results, I may change my routine…

I absolutely love the Cascade packs! I do wish they made a special kind for hard water but even with my crazy hard water they do a decent job!

As I am cooking I wash them up and load them up in the diswasher. That way it is not as big of a hassle after I am done cooking. After we eat then it is time to get the pots and pans in and get the dishwasher running. Then I unload in the morning.

I wash dishes in the dishwasher only when there is a full load. I usually prerinse and I would like to try the new Cascade Platinum because I would not have to prerinse the dishes

We have a dishwasher but I rarely use it. My mother in law uses hers all of the time, and she loves Cascade, so this would go in her care box for Christmas (she loves practical gifts).

Rinse dishes so that nothing sticks to much and stack in sink until ready to load the dishwasher. Use clean dishes directly from the dishwasher until absolutely have to reload 🙂

My routine is reminding my son over and over again to do the dishes until he finally gets them done.

Just about everything goes into the dishwasher, with the exception of frying pans and large pots. Those get hand washed

I do a quick rinse in the sink and then I stick all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I don’t like handwashing dishes so I stick everything in it!

I Pre-Soak Dishes In Hot Soapy Water Than Put Into Dishwasher. That’s My Routine.
