Soy Sunday Dinner: Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti and Corn

I am a quarter Italian but that quarter makes up a big part of who I am and how I cook not to mention what I cook. I grew up with pasta and bread at my grandmothers table almost every single night, Lord forgive you if you had naked pasta! . We learned how to make home made pasta sauce from scratch, which my grandmother would probably smack me with a wooden spoon for not making more often.  So here you will find a pretty simple dinner to make the only difference is that it is all Mr. D friendly.

28008CLWe use all different types of pasta…
its not all the same but we are not really picky.
I typically buy Barilla when Kroger has it on sale 10 for $10

We used to make homemade pasta sauce…
back before the kids and the busy life style.
Now I just buy the jar stuff, once again when its on sale.

I prefer a grilled chicken breast or even breaded
But the kids prefer the ones that look like chicken nuggets so…
what ever makes them eat the dinner.
We use Banquet or Tyson Chicken Patties and they scarf down!
GoVeggie_DF_Grated_Parm_4oz1GoVeggie_Grated-Parm111 US-Shreds-Mozzarella_1I like to use fresh grated Parmesan  and Mozzarella cheeses for topping our spaghetti and chicken patties.
But, for Mr. D we have to make exceptions and make sure that he has his own.
These are the options for Dairy free and Lactose free versions that I have found.

My Munchkins LOVE corn! whether its canned or fresh off the cob, they love it.
So we typically have corn with spaghetti (and many other meals)

This is it! a Mr. D plate of food all made up (except the bread- that wasn’t done yet)

I haven’t had Chicken Parmesan in a while. I might have to make some this week. I love mine with corn also. Great meal! Looks yummy.

Looks delicious. I don’t believe I have ever made chicken parm. It looks like a fairly easy one to add to my collection. My hardest problem is coming up with different ideas for dinner so that we aren’t eating the same things every week.
