Hubby and I have decided that we are going to use Cloth Diapers part time, but still will rely on Disposable diapers as well (I see that especially happening on weekends when we have all the kids together). And we have been looking for a pail to put dirty diapers in. Thats when I heard about Ubbi Pail. They sent me one of their Diaper Pails for this event.
What is so special about the Ubbi Pail: “Most diaper pails are made of plastic. The problem with plastic is that it absorbs odors and leaves a lingering smell that cannot be cleaned away. So even when the pail is empty the odors are still there. These pails also fail to contain the smell because they are poorly sealed allowing odors to leak out even when the pail is closed. Ubbi diaper pail is made of powder-coated steel which odors cannot penetrate. Rubber seals are used to prevent leaks and keep odors locked in when the pail is closed. Its innovative sliding lid design minimizes air disruption to prevent odors from escaping ensuring optimal odor control.” (Ubbi Pail)When the Ubbi Pail arrived, hubby opened it up and questioned me what was so special about a garbage can. I looked at him and informed him that it was not just a “Garbage Can”! I have had other diaper pails in the past – and they have always been a pain in the Tush. You’d have to buy SPECIFIC bags for them… and then they would only hold what seemed like a couple diapers… And if you didn’t put them in JUST RIGHT, then the pail wouldn’t close. Not to mention, they would hold the dirty diaper scent. The Ubbi Pail is COMPLETELY Different. Personally, my favorite feature is the fact that I can use my every day garbage bags. That way I don’t have to worry if I’m not paying attention and accidentally run out of bags. One other feature that I love about the Ubbi Pail is the fact that they come in a multitude of colors. I know many moms who love to color coordinate their little one’s rooms. We chose the Purple- because peanuts room is done in shades of purple. The shade of purple that the Ubbi pail comes in stands out a bit from the wall color – but its not enough to clash! And for those Cloth Diapering Mama’s, they also offer a Pail Liner/Bag specifically fro Cloth Diapers! (Which I do have on my want list)
The Ubbi Pails retail for 79.99. You can purchase them on the UbbiWorld Website. Make sure to follow Ubbi World on Facebook and Twitter.
Disclosure: I received an Ubbi Pail in exchange for this review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
If it absorbs those odors it is wonderful. Way back when I had kids, they only had the plastic that didn’t work too well. This sounds great
We are planning on primarily cloth diapering so I don’t think we’ll need to invest in a diaper pail like this for the occasions where we will need disposables. However, it seems like an awesome product and I’m always looking for good shower gift ideas!
I had something similar with my kids and it was the best thing ever. There was no smell at all. I love the one you got – it looks very sleek!
I used a similarly designed pail when my son was in diapers, but it wasn’t as fancy looking!
Now that is a diaper pail I could fall in love with! If i have more kids I will definitely want one of these ubbi diaper pails.
I’ve not seen a diaper pail for cloth diapers before. It’s a great idea, since they’d be more bound to holding oder then the disposable you throw out.
This looks like a neat diaper pail. We cloth diaper, I wonder if I could put a washable liner in it and use it for my cloth diapers?
ubbi actually offers a liner for their pail http://ubbiworld.com/product_cloth_liners.php
That’s a REALLY cute diaper pail. I like it much better than the one I have now (that I barely use).
I love that you can use your everyday garbage bags with this! That would have been so handy when my kids were in diapers.
Nice and the perfect gift for a new mom.
I like the color on this pail. That’s just sleek looking!
What a neat sounding bin, it must be so nice that it keeps out odors for you.
I love the color and the look. It has many great features and I can see why it is a quality product. Seems to me it would be well worth the price!
Sounds like an amazing diaper pail. Much more eco-frinedly then bagging each diaper before throwing away.
I wish we have these before – lol. very handy! and a must have!!
Wow, that sounds like it’s really high quality!
I’ve had two other diaper pails and this one looks awesome. This looks great! I wish this was around when I needed it
That looks like a great pail! Being able to use your own bags is huge because not having to add an extra expense along with the expense of the diapers is great.
I love that you can use your regular garbage bags. We stopped using our diaper pail years ago because we kept forgetting the bags. Now we have one that we use for the cats boxes, makes it easier to clean them out. I will definitely check into this one, my girls could use a newer pail! – Love the colors as well
The pail looks pretty nice and doesn’t take up a lot of space. great that it stays fresh even with dirty diapers
It’s great that you can use regular garbage bags in them. That was always the worst about our old diaper pail!
I agree with what you are saying about your old diaper pail. It did happened to me too. I hate the smell being stucked in the pail. My boy still wear diapers. Thanks for sharing this.
I usually throw the diapers in the garbage, but am planning to use cloth with the next child. This would come in handy!
That is nice the lid is a sliding type. Never seen one like that. Nice that it is also tall.
I wish I would have had one of these when mine were babies. It sure would have been better than always having to wrap them up in baggies.
