When I had lil C, I Mama Feed him until I had to go back from Maternity Leave. So then we had to transition him into bottles. But with so many different bottles on the market, it was hard to find just the perfect one for him. And we are planning on doing the same with Peanut. That’s when Tommee Tippee offered to let me try their Closer to Nature bottles.
A little about Tommee Tippee Bottles: With Closer to Nature Feeding Bottles, switching between breast and bottle feeding becomes easier than ever before. We’ve designed the unique, easy-latch-on nipple shape with breastfeeding experts to mimic the natural flex, stretch and movement of mom’s breast. Together with the bottle’s super-sensitive Easi-Vent valve, this encourages your baby’s intuitive feeding action for comfortable, relaxed feeding. (Tommee Tippee)
I was very impressed with the Tommee Tippee Closure to Nature bottles. Personally I LOVE the contoured shape of the bottle. My hand formed to it very well, and I didn’t have any concern that It would slip from my hand.
Some of the Key features of the Tommee Tippee Closure to Nature Bottles:
- Unique, easy-latch-on nipple shape
- Super-sensitive valve
- Soft, natural-feel silicone nipple
- Easy-hold bottle with slow-flow nipple
- BPA-free
One thing that I noticed is the the Super-sensitive valves. I remember with other bottles that Lil C had, he would suck in air. The Easi-Vent Valves helps prevent the ‘lil ones from taking in too much air. I’ve tried it with just water, and yes it does work. (I will have to admit though, it was a little awkward sipping out of a bottle, Its been well over 30 years since I’ve done that last!)
I also received the Closure to Nature Milk Bib. With Lil C I never heard of one of these. And I remember by the end of his feeding, the collar of his Pjs were always soaked from the milk running down his cheek and onto his neck. The Closure to Nature Milk Bibs are shaped to help prevent getting milk in the little rolls of babies necks.

Thank you for your review. I like both the Tommee Tippee Closure to Nature Bottles and the Closure to Nature Milk Bibs. It has been 30+ years since I last fed my youngest a bottle, so the Tommee Tippee bottles are new to my world and I like their features. And I remember the milk in the folds of my baby’s neck so I would like the milk bib very much.

My little one isn’t due to arrive for another 5 weeks but I find it so helpful to read these reviews and prepare. I know what bottles we end up using will be largely decided by her and her preference. However, your review confirmed I should definitely purchase a couple Tommee Tippees for her to try!

I think the transition back to work (and into bottles and daycare and pumping) is what intimidates me most about this whole process. I have a Tommee Tippee bottle in the cupboard just waiting, and it’s good to see such a positive and thorough review.

It intimidated me a lot when I went back to work with Lil C. I was afraid he wasnt going to take milk from a bottle, because for 6 weeks he was use to having mama right at his demand. But with the right bottle it is possible. With lil peanut, We have to make sure she’s willing to take a bottle within a month after she’s born because I have a wedding that is No babies/children allowed to attend. So Grandma will be watching her.

We used these bottles and bibs for our girl when she was still on the bottle. They worked great and she had no problem switching between bottle and breast.
