Since we flew into Florida, we didn’t have either of our cars with us.  I just knew I wanted to Ride in Style while on our honeymoon.  So after talking back and forth with an amazing Rep, we found out that we were going to be driving the 2014 Kia Forte EX for the week we were in Florida.   We landed in Fort Lauderdale, picked up our car, and put it to the Test.   Our honeymoon consisted of us going from Fort Lauderdale up to Orlando the over to Daytona and Melbourne and back to Fort Lauderdale.

When I found out that we were going to get the Kia Forte, I did a little research on it… Just to see what the car was going to look like before we got it.   When I saw the blue that it came in, I prayed that was the color we were going to get.  So to my surprise, when we picked up the car from the parking lot –  it was the Vibrant blue you see above!   One thing that did catch me slightly off guard was the fact that the mirrors would fold in when not in use – and would fold out when you were walking up to the car (as long as you had the key on you)

Features of the Kia Forte EX:
Auxiliary Audio Input
Bluetooth Audio
Bluetooth Hands Free
Cooled Seats
Heated Seats
Heated Steering Wheel
iPod Media Interface
iPod/MP3 Connection Jack
Navigation
Rear View Monitor
Sirius-XM Radio Audio
USB Audio Interfacekia-forte-4

One of my favorite things about this KIA Forte was the fact that it told us about how many miles per gallon we were using.  Because most of our driving was Freeway, we were quite consistently averaging about 31-32 mpg! Which to me is AMAZING!  According to the Specs on the KIA website, the Kia Forte Ex is expected to get 24MPG City and 36MPG highway.

We loved the Sirius-XM Radio.  Here in Michigan, we know what radio stations work in what cities.  Even when we travel 3 hours away, we still can find music that we like.   Well, in Florida, we had NO clue the different stations that they had.  So when we found our station on Sirius-XM, we were good for the whole trip!    There was no having to search for a new station because you changed cities.  Ever since having that feature in the Kia Forte, the hubbs is now asking for one for our vehicles.

kia-forte-2This was a very comfortable ride.  Our first trip was over 3 hours of driving.   Even after that amount of driving, we weren’t sore when we got out of the car.   The drive on the freeway was VERY smooth.  Handling Very well in the Florida Rain! (People aren’t joking when they say it rains one second then stops, and may pick back up 5 minutes later!  It was crazy)  This may seem like a small car, but the interior is very roomy.  In my everyday driver, my husband has to have the seat ALL the way to the back so he can comfortably Drive (he’s 6’1″) But in the Kia Forte, When he slid the seat all the way back, he said it felt that there was too much room between him and the pedal!  Which is a first for him!  Defiantly makes me feel better when it comes to having kids in the back seat!  That way the kids can have some leg room.

Overall, we LOVED this car and were very thankful that we got to drive this amazing car.  It made our visit to Florida much more enjoyable – and Who doesn’t love to ride in style when on vacation?

I received this car for the week we were on our honeymoon for  review.  All opinions expressed are 100% my own.  I was not financially compensated for this post.

Wow, what a sharp looking car! I don’t think I’ve ever seen this in real life. I’m looking at cars like this for my 2 older teens to share.

Oh my gosh, that Kia is gorgeous. I love how Kia has become such an amazing car company. I’ve seen the Forte on the road, and they’re so nice on the outside and I love the features it comes with. I could seriously use Bluetooth capabilities in a vehicle. And the MPG are so much better than my big Crossover! I’m ready for a fun, sporty car!

I love that this isn’t a fuel guzzler.Definitely something my family looks into while investing into a car.
