Have you ever had Smoked Beef Brisket? Its seriously one of the best things you’ll ever eat. The large piece of meat is great for several meals and isn’t as expensive as other cuts of beef. Once it’s cooked, you can use it as pulled beef on sandwiches, serve it up on a plate with onions and mashed potatoes, and even scramble it in with eggs for a tasty morning treat. The key to the best brisket you’ve ever had is cooking it right. I really like to marinate mine and then smoke it. We make it a lot around the holidays simply because it can be used so many different ways, it freezes well, and is suitable for company if they unexpectedly drop by.1-hour-pressure-smoker-1

Are you wondering how I smoke a large piece of meat in the middle of the winter? Thankfully, there are ways to do it that won’t involve setting the house on fire or spending a ton of money, and one of those ways is to use an indoor smoker or cooker to make things easier. I like the One Hour Indoor Pressure Smoker myself. It’s a smoker and a pressure cooker in one, which means that it gets the work done in a super short amount of time (five times faster!), and when my husband comes home from work and I have this delicious piece of meat on the table, he thinks I slaved all day. Bonus if the laundry is done too. I’m supermom!1-hour-pressure-smoker-2

The appliance is so unique. I’ve actually never seen a pressure cooker and smoker combined before. This one is very simple to use. It’s got an adjustable two-level rack that holds up to 4 lbs. of food. That’s a lot of brisket! Once you’ve got your meat in the aluminum, thermal coated inner pot, you insert the chips into the stainless steel wood chip box. The chips are not included, but it requires only three to five chips to give you the authentic barbecue smoke flavor you’re looking for while keeping all the smoke inside the chamber during cooking. It really infuses the meat with amazing flavor.1-hour-pressure-smoker-3

All you have to do after putting the meat inside is to turn on and set this 6½-quart device. The cooker’s display shows time and detailed cooking status, so you always know what’s going on inside without having to open the lid to check.

One of the best things about this cooker is that it can be used as a cold smoker, steamer, or even just a traditional low- or-high-pressure cooker, so unlike that kitchen appliance you bought from the 2am infomercial, you’ll actually get use out of this one. It won’t just sit there taking up counter space.1-hour-pressure-smoker-4

The Pressure Smoker also makes a great gift for anyone on your list that’s into cooking or looking for options to feed a large family on a budget. It’s so unique and useful that I’m going to buy a couple of them for friends this year.

Do you smoke meat?
