I was provided a sample of this product to evaluate this review of the Milky! Herbal Tea Supplement for Lactation Enhancement from the Need Brands. All opinions and findings are that of my own and have not been influenced in any way.
Breastfeeding is a a topic all in itself. I chose well before ever becoming pregnant to attempt it with all my strength. It took some tears, vowel mouth moments, and frustrations to get to where I am today. 8 months strong with breastfeeding and didn’t even use a full container of formula to get through the rough patches, just enough to compose myself to jump back on. I came to learn of Need Brands by watching Tia and Tamera (Mowry) on their television show prior to pregnancy. Once I learned they made a supplement and I had been having some frustrations again at the 7 month mark and my son’s appetite, I reached out to test the product. When I talk to my son while feeding, I constantly tell him, “Drink your milky.” This was before even trying the product!

A pack comes as a 6 day supply. You are recommended to take two of the 2.5fl oz containers a day. Preferably morning and afternoon. It retails for $29.99 a box plus $5.95 shipping. It is sold at the Need Brands website. They are strawberry flavored and contain organic and vegan ingredients. I was sold on it not needing to be refrigerated after opening, granted, who can’t finish off a 2.5fl oz bottle? That is about the size of any energy shot! I was nervous at first to be honest. I love trying new things but the past experience with fenugreek and a few other hot herbal teas, left me scarred a bit on supplements.
I was thoroughly surprised that even though it did not taste 100% like strawberry it also did not taste like the other herbal pills I had attempted in the past. I also did not have a lingering smell seeping from my pores when I was sweating or even just doing my regular day to day activities. Tia and Tamera hit the nail on the head with this product and it was brought into production by working with experts to create this formula. The size itself can be consumed in a few gulps, it has no strange after taste, and it left me feeling empowered to be truthful.
The added benefits to this product through my two week testing: My son loved playing with the empty bottle when I was done, it was small enough to throw in the diaper bag (See photo to compare size to my salt shaker) and take with me for the day so I did not forget to take it, and my supply went up! I think the last is an understatement. My son was soaking himself and my stomach with the letdown from my milk supply. I could actually pump a bit after he fed as well. He is a boob addict to begin with but lately he seems to really enjoy the amount of milk he can get with little effort. It has cut our feeding times down by at least 1/3.
My wish is that stores will start picking up the product to carry on shelves locally. I even educated a nutritionist at the local government office about having lactation consultants look into this product. I am thrilled with the outcome of the product and will not be attempting to choke down any pills in the future thanks to this product!

A few members of my family had a hard tim ebreast feeding… I wish I would of been able to tell them about this product a few years ago! I imagine this will start easing the frustrations of many breastfeeding mothers.

I BF my son for a few weeks but my milk couldn’t keep up so I had to supplement but this time with my daughter is been nearly 2 months and were still going strong!

Sadly, I got no reply from the representative I worked with and the pages were taken down from facebook and twitter. I am thinking they might have gone out of business even though Tia and Tamera Mowry are still on twitter…wondering if at any point I can get an answer.
Can I use this product milky while being pregnant or do I have to wait till I deliver.

I’m not sure if it is available overseas as it is in limited stores in the US. You could also try fenugreek to help your supply! Good luck!
You can purchase them individually in the Motherhood/Maternity stores in the US. As far as overseas, I would recommend destinationmaternity.com. They have the 6 day supply boxes available for purchase. I just ordered and received 2 boxes earlier this week. Good Luck!
